Today’s Poople hint ladder

The current Lab start is WASP and the target is POOP. The shortest demonstration route in this release takes eight moves. Try the game first, then reveal only the help you need.

Hint 1 · Structure

Do not chase the target immediately. Look for a common word that keeps several consonant and vowel options open.

How to use a Poople hint well

  1. Set a timer for one or two minutes before opening the next layer.
  2. Look for high-connection bridge words: common words that can change in several positions.
  3. When a path dead-ends, undo one move instead of starting over immediately.
  4. After the finish, compare your route with the route explorer.

Why hints are better than instant answers

A full answer satisfies a search query but ends the game. A graduated hint preserves the decision that makes a word ladder memorable. That is why the Lab separates strategy, letter direction, next-word help, and the complete route.

When a hint is not enough

Some positions are difficult because the starting word has several attractive neighbours, not because you have missed a single magic word. If the second hint still leaves you unsure, write down two legal alternatives and compare what each one can change next. That small pause is often more useful than opening a full answer.
